Westport has appointed the Worley Arcadis Joint Venture (JV) to deliver marine and port infrastructure technical advisory services - a significant milestone in planning for a new container port in Kwinana.
The JV will deliver specialist expertise to progress key components of the port’s design, including the channel, breakwater, quay line, port precinct and connections to road and rail networks.
The technical advisory JV will be integrated with the Westport team and support the development of reference designs, approvals, construction planning and reliable cost estimates ahead of future investment decisions.
The JV will also establish industry working groups to inform specialist areas such as dredging and terminal operations.
"This appointment brings substantial expertise to the Westport Office,” said Westport Managing Director Patrick Seares.
“Sustainability, safety, cost efficiency and compliance will remain embedded in every stage of the design process.
“It’s about delivering on Westport’s vision for responsible, sustainable infrastructure that keeps trade moving, strengthens supply chains and creates long-term value for Western Australians.”
