Westport is working closely with Main Roads to integrate the Westport supply chain in the wider road and freight networks.
Westport is one of the biggest infrastructure projects ever undertaken in Western Australia. We’re working in close collaboration with multiple partners at all stages of infrastructure development to ensure the design, planning and delivery is done right.
Westport is a rare opportunity to develop critical infrastructure to support the Western Australian economy from the ground up, rather than as an extension of existing facilities.
This includes new port and marine infrastructure and a fit-for-purpose road and rail freight network, and intermodal terminals (IMT).
Westport is now in Stage 4 of the program, which includes detailed project definition and delivery.
The impact and opportunities for the new container port for Western Australia and the areas around it are significant. Westport is working closely with other government departments to ensure the State gets the maximum benefit from the opportunities presented by Westport.
