As one of the biggest infrastructure projects WA has ever undertaken, it will take more than a decade to develop the new container port and supply chain in Kwinana. Here are the works that are currently underway.
Project development process
The project development will happen in stages.
For example:
- Upgrades to Anketell Road and the Kwinana Bulk Terminal will happen earlier in the process to support port construction.
- Dredging and major marine infrastructure work will not begin before the State and Federal environmental impact assessment processes are complete.
