Westport will be hosting two non-mandatory briefings on Tuesday 21 April to inform the tender process for Westport’s Innovative Seagrass Restoration Trials that is currently on Tenders WA.

Site visit and briefing

Westport will hold a non-mandatory site visit and briefing in Rockingham for Westport’s Innovative Seagrass Trial. This session will provide a general orientation of Cockburn Sound and explanation of the procurement process and RFP documentation. There will also be an opportunity for respondents to ask questions, with answers published via an addendum after the briefing.

  • Where: Rotary Park Car Park adjacent to Palm Beach Boat Ramp (West), Rockingham
  • When: Tuesday 21 April 2026
  • Time: 10am AWST
  • Note: Please wear enclosed shoes and sun protection.

This a non-mandatory site visit and briefing meaning attendance is not required. However, it is highly recommended attending if you are able, if you intend on submitting a proposal.

Online-only briefing

A following online-only session will then be held via Microsoft Teams at 3:00pm to provide photographs from the site visit and information for those who were unable to make the non-mandatory site briefing.

The seagrass program is a key part of Westport’s commitment to building long-term ecosystem resilience in Cockburn Sound as well as our commitment to trialling and investing in innovative technology that can have a widespread impact beyond Western Australia.

Proposals can be submitted through Tenders WA. The tender submission period is open until 2.30pm AWST, Friday 29 May.
