Westport’s Community Survey extended

Help us understand what's important to the community!

01 January 0001

In September 2023, we launched the Westport Community Survey to help us understand what's important to the community. Since then, we’ve received hundreds of submissions.

Here’s a summary of what we’ve heard so far:

  • 46% of participants rated their knowledge of Westport as either good or very good
  • Almost 80% of respondents thought Westport was important to WA’s future.
  • About 70% of participants prefer to hear about the project via email newsletters.
  • The parts of Westport that are of most interest to community are the Anketell-Thomas Road Freight Corridor, the environment, road freight, and recreational use of Cockburn Sound.
  • Road freight, the environment, the Anketell-Thomas Road Freight Corridor, and port design are what the community feels we 'need to get right' in planning.

We’re extending the community survey until 31 May 2024 to allow more people to have their say and we will provide more insights over the coming months.

If you haven’t already, please complete the survey to have your say. It takes around 5 minutes.
