Westport Community Update
Welcome to 2025!
In case you missed them, here’s some Westport highlights from the last 12 months:
- State Government’s $273 million investment to progress Westport.
- Release of the Westport Business Case Summary.
- $730,000 investment towards new seagrass restoration activities.
- Launch of the Cockburn Sound Consultation Hub.

- 812 submissions to Westport’s Community Survey.

Westport’s Cockburn Sound Consultation Hub

Thank you to everyone who’s signed up to Westport’s new Cockburn Sound Consultation Hub. If you haven’t already, and are interested in Cockburn Sound, we encourage you to register.
From conversations with community members and our 2024 Community Survey findings, we understand that safeguarding the environmental health of Cockburn Sound is the top priority the community wants Westport to get right.
We have a lot of work to do over the coming years including further consultation with the community and stakeholders who are passionate about the marine environment and recreation in Cockburn Sound.
Consultation will include opportunities to provide feedback directly with our team and partners, and through consultation run by State and Federal regulators.
We are asking everyone with interest in Cockburn Sound to sign up to our new Cockburn Sound Consultation Hub: register to be informed and have your say.
